Chiranjeevi Biography :-
Chiranjeevi was born on 22 August 1955 in Mogalthur, Village in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State, India. Chiranjeevi’s full name is Konidela Shiva Sankara Vara Prasad, his nickname is Chiru. Chiranjeevi is a Politician and Indian Actor who has worked predominantly in Telugu cinema.Chiranjeevi has worked as an actor in more than 150 Telugu films. Along with that he has also worked in some Tamil Kannada and Hindi movies. He has given 39 years in his film world in which he has won many Award like Nandi Awards, Raghupathi venkaiah Award and South Filmfare Awards. Chiranjeevi has completed his schooling from Nidadavolu, Gurazala, Ponnur, Mangalagiri and Mogalthur.
He has completed his Intermediate from CSR Sharma College, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. He has done B.Com in Graduation from Sri Y N College Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi was also an NCC cadet and participated in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. Chiranjeevi was very fond of acting since childhood and as soon as he completed his graduation, he left for Chennai and joined the Madras Film Institute in 1976 to make a career in acting.

Chiranjeevi made his film debut with the 1979 Indian Telugu film Pundhirallu,for that he received Nandi Award for Best Feature Film. While his first film Pranam khareedu was released in 1978, then Mana Voori Pandavulu film written by Mullapudi Venkat and directed by Bapu was released.
Due to these films, he had gained a lot of recognition in his Telugu audience. After that he did a small role in the film Tayaramma Bangarayya which was released in 1979. He has also played the role of anti-hero in films such as I love you and Idi Katha kaadu.In 1979, Chiranjeevi has released 8 major films.In 1982, he has done many hit films such as Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna.
After that, he made a movie about dowry related to Society malady Subhalekha, directed by K. Viswanath for which he received the First Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and Viswanath’s got third Filmfare Award for Best Director Telugu.
From 1982 to 1986, he did many films like Idi Pellantara, Sitadevi, Tingu Rangadu, Bandhalu Anubandhalu, Mondi Ghatam, Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu and Billa Ranga, Manchu Pallaki. In which Khaidi was his biggest hit movie at the box office, In 1984 he did many action movies which were hit like include; Mantri Gari Viyyankudu, Sangharshana, Goonda, Challenge, Hero, Donga, Jwala, Adavi Donga, Kondaveeti Raja, Rakshasudu.In 1985, he got his second Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for the film Vijetha directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy.
In 1987, he received his first Nandi Award for Best Actor for the film Swayamkrishi. From 1987 to 2007, he has done many hit films such as Pasivadi Pranam (1987) directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy which was remake of film Malayalam Poovinu Puthiya Poothennal, Yamudiki Mogudu (1988) directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and Manchi Donga (1988). He had produced his own film and did his role named Rudra Veena which was released in 1988, forwhich he received Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration,and the Nandi Special Jury Award.
After that he had many hit films like Pratibandh in 1990 and Aaj ka Goonda Raaj. In 1992, his Aapadbandhavudu movie was released by which he received Second Nandi award for Best Actor and third Filmfare award for Best Actor in Telugu. During the 1990s, Chiranjeevi was appeared in many movies like Mechanic Alludu, S. P. Parasuram, Big Boss and Rikshavodu, Mutha Mestri for this he received fourth Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Telugu, Mugguru Monagallu, Alluda Majaka, Sipayi, Hitler, Master, Bavagaru Bagunnara?, Choodalani Vundi and Sneham Kosam for this he got 5th Filmfare Award for Best Actor Telugu.
After some gap, Chiranjeevi’s Indira movie was released in 2002 and he got the third Nandi Award for Best Actor and 6th Filmfare award for Best Actor in Telugu for this movie. From 2008 to 2016 he had many films namely Magadheera (2009), Bruce Lee: The Fighter (2015). He has also narrated in two films Varudu (2010) and Rudhramadevi released in 2015, directed by Gunasekhar.
In this, he also had a gap of 10 years in which he started his political career. In 2017,his khaidi No.150 movie came which was directed by V. V Vinayak and produced by Ramcharan. In 2019, his film was Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which was based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, which was directed by Surendra Reddy.
Chiranjeevi’s welfare work :-
On October 2, 1998, a trust was established named Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust in which blood and eye bank. This trust has made about 68000 blood donations and 1414 eye donations. CCT blood bank has helped more than 80,000 people and eye bank has helped more than 1,000 people since its opening in the Andhra Pradesh State. CCT got the “Best Voluntary Blood Bank Award” by the Andhra Pradesh State government. CCT inaugurated on 10 June 2006 by Dr. Abdul Kalam (President of India) at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.
Chiranjeevi Awards and Achievement :-
Chiranjeevi was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2006. He received the Third Highest Civilian Award because of his contribution to Indian Cinema. He has received three Nandi Awards, three Raghupati Venkaiah Awards from Andhra Pradesh State and nine South Filmfare Awards. He has also been the Minister of Tourism for the Indian Government from 2012 to 2014.
